Hi,so i am trying to take out part of a picture using gimp. now in a tutorial that i am watching, it says i should press ctrl and a and then ctrl and c to copy the back ground picture and then delete it. then i should paste this over the other image by pressing ctrl and v. this works. then i should click on layer mask and then click on the layer mask and press ctrl and i then the picture should come back and i can edit it. this does not work i add a layer mask and then click on it and press ctrl and i and nothing happens any ideas?sorry if my explanation doesnt make a lot of sense. i have added a link so you can watch what i mean. i am using gimp so maybe it is different to photo shop that is being used in the video.
